Personal Car Insurance

Essential cover for yourself and other road users.

Although we don’t like to think about it, every time we get into a car, there’s a chance that we could be involved in an accident. As they say, it’s better to be safe, than sorry.

In Kenya it is compulsory to have motor vehicle insurance covering liability to third parties, but you can also take out cover to protect yourself, your loved ones and your own car.

We also extend the following services at a competitive fee:

  • Courtesy car (Loss of Use)
  • Rescue services
  • Personal Accident for driver and passengers

Take note that the general policies exclude the following:

  • Use of vehicle by an unauthorized person or a person without a valid driving license
  • Use of vehicle for carriage of passengers for hire and reward
  • Political risks
  • Terrorism
  • Any loss falling within the policy excess

Cover available:

Third Party Only

This is the basic, mandatory cover you as a motorist must have. It provides cover for third parties in case of bodily injury or damage to their property.

Third Party Fire and Theft

In addition to the Third Party Only cover, this cover extends to cover your own vehicle against the risks of fire and theft.

Comprehensive Cover

The scope of comprehensive cover is the widest and comprises:

  • Liability to third parties involving death or bodily injury and or damage to property
  • Loss or damage following accidental collision or overturning of the vehicle; fire, external explosion, self-ignition or lightning, theft and malicious acts
  • Cost of protection and removal to repairers following damage
